With headphones on, a CD player at his side, and a sharpie in hand, Ian’s colorful and detailed imagery displays his love for music. Ian describes his work as “a visual 2D slideshow” that allows viewers to see a visual representation of something you would normally listen to.
Ian’s iconic style is illustrated through sections of squares. Each square represents a certain song on the album he is listening to at that time. Each song and album is drawn using tools such as sharpies, pens, and crayons. His artwork often includes popular music soundtracks from TV shows and movies such as Glee, and Footloose, and top music albums from musicians like David Bowie, Paul McCartney, and Christian Rock.
