Elba is known for her love of flowers, commonly wearing a flower in her hair while creating flowers with her hands. Elba’s love for flowers encourages her to try new mediums and grow artistically. “Flowers makes things beautiful,” states Elba. Her flower paintings are vibrant and colorful. Elba’s use of floral imagery is also seen in her accessory making, sewing work, drawings, and, tissue paper crafting. Elba enjoys wearing and selling the accessories she makes from jewelry to hairpins.
Celebrating holidays and people she cares for inspires Elba’s work. She often creates artwork as gifts for others that she explains are a way to show others she cares for them. Elba loves to make handmade cards for all occasions given as gestures of appreciation as well as to sell in the studio.
