Charles captures significant moments and celebrates people through his portrait paintings. His paintings of family and friends to celebrities and his own personal heroes are produced with soft and considerate brush strokes. His portraits of those who have past to those who save lives, allows his paintings to stand as memorials and appreciation of others. “I painted a picture of my Doctor. He saved my life. He is my hero,” states Charles.
He also creates images of animals, cartoon characters, and religious symbols and figures. Charles enjoys playing the piano and writing. He creates humorous and clever comics and has begun writing a book that he explains will be a way to teach others to paint and learn about the world of art.
